Dr. Gary Gray received his initial education as a Physical Therapist in the mid-1970s through Indiana University. Not fully satisfied with the traditional education, he immediately pursued additional education, training, and certification as an Athletic Trainer, Personal Trainer, and Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Furthermore, he pursued as much “continuing education” as possible to understand the various parts of the body and combine / synthesize into his understanding of the body as a whole, which no professional was doing at the time. Throughout this 45-plus-year journey (which continues to this day), Gary has revolutionized the Movement Industry in the areas of prevention, performance, and rehabilitation.
Based on his experience and impact, Dr. Gray has become known as the “Father of Function,” and subsequently developed the discipline of Applied Functional Science®. Gary’s lifetime of work and educating the masses has earned him the John H.P. Maley Award for Outstanding Contributions to Leadership in Research from the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association).

Dan McClure, DC, CCSP, CCEP

Dr. Dan McClure combines a life-long love of athletics with his chosen profession for a natural specialization in chiropractic sports medicine. He is a former high school and college athlete who first became interested in chiropractic when it offered him great relief for a low back injury sustained during college football.
In 1989 he was selected for the interdisciplinary sports medicine team at the US Olympic Training Center. His USOC association continued through the 1990 Olympic Sports Festival and the 1991 Pan American Games. Due to his successful treatment of divers’ wrist injuries at those USOC events, he was invited to join the Sports Medicine staff of US Diving in 1991. Since then, he has worked with elite divers at training camps, Indoor and Outdoor National Championships, Olympic Trials, and the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.
Dr. McClure is a nationally and internationally renowned expert and lecturer on extremity injuries and manipulation. His extremity experience ranges over 35 years. Dr. McClure’s state of the art techniques are constantly being refined, so you will learn time proven techniques as well as cutting edge techniques in the process of development. Mike Ploski is a Physical Therapist who is recognized by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist. He is also a certified and licensed athletic trainer. Mike traveled with the PGA Tour for 6 years as part of their onsite medical staff and worked another 5 years coordinating physical therapy and chiropractic care on the Tour. He is one of the original Graston Technique providers, one of the original GT instructors, and now serves as a Clinical Advisor for Graston Technique, LLC. He served as the Clinic Director for GrasTech, the original Graston Technique clinic. He is respected internationally as a leading authority on instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization. Currently, Mike maintains a clinical practice at Body One Physical Therapy in Indianapolis. With his extensive experience in manual therapy, Mike specializes in soft tissue dysfunction associated with orthopedic injuries.

Casey has a decade of experience in NCAA compliance and governance, including “Power Five” institutions, mid-majors, and a DI conference office. Up until 2020, Casey was the Director of Compliance at the University of Michigan and served on the NAAC Legislation & Governance Committee that provides feedback to the NCAA on NIL.

Timothy Hewett is a Professor and Director of Research in Marshall University’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the School of Medicine. Dr. Hewett is a “pioneering researcher, expert team builder, and collaborative leader” as stated on the plaque he received when Mayo Clinic presented him with an Endowed Professorship. He has held multiple leadership positions. which included the Director of the Sports Medicine Research Center, the Biomechanics Laboratories, and the Materials and Structural Testing Core at Mayo Clinic.
He was also director of the Sports Health & Performance Institute at Ohio State University, Professor and Director of Sports Medicine Research at OSU, Professor and Director of the Sports Medicine Biodynamics Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, and an integral founding member of the Cardiovascular Institute there. He has helped develop strong collaborative teams all over the world, including Australia, Holland, and many institutions across the US, He has given many highly impactful Invited lectures, including Keynote addresses from Australia to the Arctic Circle, and Grand Rounds at Harvard and Yale Universities.
He has published over 500 peer-reviewed publications with 80,000+ citations and an h-index of 145+. Dr. Hewett has had high levels of success in research funding from nationally competitive grants, from industry, and other sources as demonstrated by his past funding support of over $20 Million US. He has received numerous awards for “Paper of the Year” in various journals, including five “Most Cited Paper of The Year” in The American Journal of Sports Medicine. Dr. Hewett has trained over 100 clinician scientists and his trainees have gone on to major leadership roles at many prestigious clinical research institutions.
